The City of Galveston will begin a $6 million streetscape renovation of the historic Strand District on Monday, installing new brick pavers, period-appropriate lighting, expanded outdoor dining areas, and improved ADA accessibility along a six-block stretch. The project is expected to take eight months and will keep businesses open throughout construction.
