Friendswood was ranked the safest city in Texas for the third year in a row by SafeWise's annual Texas Safety Report, which analyzed FBI crime data, traffic fatality rates, and emergency response times for all Texas cities with populations over 25,000. Friendswood's violent crime rate of 0.4 per 1,000 residents is the lowest of any city in the state.
