An explosion at the Marathon Petroleum refinery in Texas City injured two workers Thursday morning and prompted a shelter-in-place advisory for a one-mile radius around the facility. The Galveston County Office of Emergency Management lifted the advisory after three hours once air quality monitoring confirmed no dangerous levels of airborne chemicals. Both injured workers were treated and released.
